Honey Murcott |
An extremely juicy, sweet, medium to large mandarin. Its skin is orange,
smooth to lightly pebbled. There are 11-12 segments. The flesh is a rich
orange colour, tender with a flavour that is rich and distinctive. Medium
to late in maturity. An excellent export product as it ships extremely
well. |

A juicy and medium to large sized mandarin. Its skin is dark orange when
ripe and peel is easily removed. |

Nova tangelo is a medium sized fruit that peels readily. |

Sunburst |
Matures early. It is one of the most attractive of mandarins. The fruit
has an outstanding deep reddish-orange external colour similar to that of
Minneola and an extremely smooth and thin rind - the outlines of the segments
can be seen as ridges on the rind surface. High sugar content. |

Minneola |
Minneola tangelos are sweet, tasty and look beautiful in a fruit bowl.
The fruit is a cross between a mandarin and a grape fruit. It is rich in
vitamins C and A. It is seedless and easy to peel. Minneolas are perfect
for school lunches. The juice, zest and rind enliven dishes such as custards
and marinades. Segments dipped in melted chocolate are a delicious winter
treat. |

Fremont |
An early maturing variety and arguably the most attractive of all the
mandarins. It has a brilliant reddish-brown colour early in the season, good
shape and peel texture. It peels less readily than an Imperial nevertheless
it is a true "easy peeler". It's reddish - orange internal colour matches
that of the rind. The flavour is sweet. Size small to medium. |

Imperial |
The earliest maturing mandarin each year. It is small to medium in size,
oval in shape with a low collar and a broader bottom than top. The rind is
very thin, smooth and glossy with a slightly attached skin which makes it
easy to peel. They vary in colour from yellow to pale orange at maturity.
Segments number 9 to 11 and are easily separated. Flavour is pleasantly sweet
with an attractive aroma. Has few seeds. |

Washington Navel |
The most distinctive feature of the navel orange is the presence of a
navel. No other oranges have a navel. Other distinctive characteristics
of most navel oranges include a crispness of flesh texture, ease of peeling
and separation of the segments, richness of flavour and deep orange skin
and flesh colour. |

Eureka Lemon |
Lemons are used primarily for drinks and fresh juice, cooking and flavouring,
and medicinal purposes. The Eureka Lemon originated in California. It is
medium to small sized with a medium to thick rind. |
